AKIBA’S TRIP: Undead & Undressed Director’s Cut announced for PS4, Switch and PC

To acquire announced AKIB’S JOURNEY: Undead & Undressed Director’s Cut for PlayStation 4, Switchand PC (Steam). It will be launched in Japan on April 20, 2023. Users who already own the PlayStation 4 or PC version will also be able to upgrade via paid downloadable content.

■ Director’s Cut Key features

• This is new! This is Director’s Cut! – AKIB’S JOURNEY: Undead & Undressed, originally released for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in 2013, returns with new content and its first appearance on Switch. Although the game is fully finished, it still retains its “Akihabara overrun with otaku culture” vibe from the days of summer 2013. Plus, new elements exclusive to Director’s Cut have been added, allowing even more players to enjoy the game.
• Added “Kati Route”. – Added a new route scenario with heroine Kati Raikkonen Director’s Cut, which could not be implemented for the original release of the game. This route has a new ending that connects to the future. U Director’s Cut, the story is reconstructed from the original plot to include the “Kati Route”, which leads the story to its true ending. A newly written script and newly recorded voices will immerse players in the world of this new story.
• All existing downloadable content included – All downloadable content, costumes and equipment distributed after the original release AKIB’S JOURNEY: Undead & Undressed are presented in Director’s Cut, including cooperation with various media and companies. Enjoy exploring Akihabara in unique clothing and gear.

■ Kati Route Story

The “true end of the story” that was not told 10 years ago, where the protagonist turns his back on Shizuku to save Katia’s life. The story gets a new twist with the appearance of a new power!

Kati is involved in an incident that causes her “special gene” to awaken. Jokes that she “became a real magical girl!?” are short-lived, but Kati learns that she will die if her immense power is fully awakened.

There is only one way to save her — to go along with someone and betray Shizuku and the Akihabara freedom fighters.
