AMD is reportedly reducing Ryzen 7000 production due to lack of demand

It is hearsay at best; let me be clear about that. But with the declining PC market and the less successful launch of Ryzen 7000 processors due to the price of the platform, AMD may have to produce fewer processors.

Wccftech is rumored to have read (or obtained) an internal business document that argues for a lower power Ryzen 7000 series channel. AMD recently revised its Q3-2022 revenue forecast, blaming sluggish PC demand. According to the article, enthusiasts are currently maintaining AM5 processors; The Ryzen 9 7900X was the top seller/best seller, and sales are said to be the highest in the Zen 4 series. The $549 US CPU appears to be significantly more attractive than the $399 Ryzen 7 7700X and $299 Ryzen 5 7600X. We feel that most customers can simply stay on AM4, upgrade to Ryzen 75800X3D on the current AM4 platform for superior gaming performance instead of investing in a completely new platform.

Regardless, it’s not good news; maybe lower prices on processors and AM5 platforms a little more to increase sales again?
