Apple’s original iPhone just sold for nearly $40,000 at auction
While most original iPhone owners opened their boxes back in 2007 to use the revolutionary piece of technology, one person who didn’t is now reaping nearly $40,000 in profits.
“This factory sealed first edition copy is in exceptional condition,” the listing read. “Virtually flawless along the surface and edges, the factory seal is clean with correct seam detail and tension.
iPhone 14 Pro review
“It quickly became Apple’s most successful product, changed the smartphone industry forever and was named Time magazine’s 2007 Invention of the Year.”
The original iPhone comes with 16 pre-installed apps with no way to get more as there is no App Store, including phone, text, camera, calculator, weather and more. It was only available in 4GB and 8GB variants, which is a far cry from today’s iPhone 14 which has a minimum of 128GB and a maximum of 1TB.
In our review 9/10 of Apple’s latestIGN said, “iPhone 14 Pro is one of the most important refreshes of the iPhone formula, with a 48MP always-on camera and dazzling Dynamic Island animations.”
