Destiny 2 is getting a remake, centered around ancient raids
Finally, the much needed weapon crafting system has arrived Fate 2 with this year witch queen expansion. But what started out as a promising addition has been starting to rank up on players in recent months — especially with the amount of extra grind the system has added to the game.
However, in Bungie’s Weekly Thursday BlogThe studio detailed some major changes coming to the system in February 2023 Lightfall He also announced that manufactured weapons would finally come beyond the lightDeep Stone Crypt raid later this year.
Starting with crafting the Deep Stone Crypt, Bungie announced that players will be able to craft weapons from the two-year raid starting December 6, with the launch of the game’s next season. As usual, players will need to collect Deepsight Resonance (red border) weapons from the raid to extract the pattern for this weapon. Once the model is unlocked, Guardians will be able to craft this weapon and place specific perks on it.
Bungie noted in the blog that it has recreated many of the perk sets for these weapons, which means players can expect more combos than has been on these weapons for the past two years. Finally, Bungie revealed that it won’t be adding a puzzle chest that guarantees a weapon on the red frontier every week — like Vow of the Disciple and King’s Fall. However, players will be able to purchase one Deepsight Resonance weapon from the last chest once a week. In the weeks when the Deep Stone Crypt is the featured raid, players will also be able to run the raid over and over for a chance at Patterns.
The studio also revealed some major plans for a rework Lightfall — which would be about a year after the system debuted. Bungie feels that Deepsight Resonance weapons are very common, so weapons that cannot be crafted will no longer fall with a red border. Guardians will also have a way to choose a weapon style to target at LightfallAnd we have more ways to acquire weapon styles.
One of the most interesting points of the blog is also the least embodied. Bungie notes that grinding kills in raid encounters like Shuro Chi is a boring way to level up weapons (which happens from personal experience, min). In the future, the studio wants to reduce “loading fatigue” by not forcing players to use suboptimal / sub-optimal manufactured weapons. This suggests that there will be another – and hopefully faster – way to upgrade their crafted weapons Lightfall.
Bungie will definitely reveal more details about how it changed the crafting beforehand LightfallIt was launched on February 28, 2023.
