FWPD raises awareness for domestic violence victim resources
Fort WAYNE, Ind. (FORT WAYNE’S NBC) — The Victim Support Department of the Fort Wayne Police Department organized a ‘Rise Up Against Domestic Violence’ on the Courthouse Lawn on Friday to bring awareness to domestic violence and resources.
victim aid Provides information, guidance and emotional support for victims. They provide crisis counseling, criminal justice system orientation, and assistance with filing for compensation and compensation.
Victim support officers want victims of domestic violence to know that there are resources to help them navigate the process of leaving.
