Google Pixel 7 Pro owners are reporting annoying screen behavior on their phones
What you need to know
- The Google Pixel 7 Pro is reportedly showing scrolling issues.
- Some users describe the scrolling experience as “sticky”, while others have complained of “keyboard fumbling” when typing.
- A system software update is said to provide a cure for the problem.
The Google Pixel 7 series is facing a growing number of complaints about its display just days after its launch, and a few more users may have discovered another issue with the Pixel 7 Pro’s display.
According to some Pixel 7 Pro owners who took over Reddit (opens in new tab) to report issues they encountered, scrolling on the screen was “sticky” and “broken”. Keyboard nibbling has also been reported to occur most of the time while typing. Another user commented about “quick scrolling in almost all apps” with long content.
The erratic screen behavior seems to be more apparent on the Pixel 7 Pro than on older Pixel models, some users have noted. For example, one user asked (opens in new tab) that swipe left/right on certain apps “needs to be much more generous for registration.”
The same user mentioned that they had to move their fingers a bit more to scroll through the gallery of posts on certain social media apps like Instagram. Vertical scrolling in other apps, such as YouTube, is said to be slower or faster than intended.
While this issue appears to be limited to the Pixel 7 Pro at the moment, the display on both the standard and Pro models was which were previously reported to consume significantly more energy at higher brightness levels, reducing battery life.
Fortunately, some users have reported that this irregular screen issue can be resolved by downloading the latest system update for Google the best android phones. However, the annoying problem seems to persist for other users.
The Pixel 7 series isn’t the only flagship phone to run into issues after launch. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra the owners too reported some distracting pixel patterns it flickered intermittently, though it has since been fixed.
Android Central has reached out to Google for comment, and we’ll update this post when we hear back. Hopefully Google will soon acknowledge these complaints and introduce a solution.
