Google Pixel Fold: New leak outlines more display specs
Google didn’t reveal the Pixel Fold at this month’s Pixel hardware launch. However, the device is still expected to arrive in early 2023 was allegedly targeted. Now thought to be developed under the codename ‘Felix’, the latest details to emerge are the Pixel Fold or Pixel Notepad a month agokindness Kuba Wojciechowski.
Now, Wojciechowski is once again on hand to reveal information regarding the device’s screens. While it’s not clear where the developer got these details, he usually cites recent Android code changes as the sources of his leaks. According to Wojciechowski, Google is sourcing both Pixel Fold displays from Samsung Display, which already supplies panels for Pixel smartphones like the Pixel 7 Pro.
Although the exact panel numbers are unknown at this stage, Wojciechowski claims that the internal screen could run at 120 Hz; 91mobiles however, it warns that the developer is not sure of this fact. vice versa 91mobiles states that Wojciechowski informed him of some of the exact internal display specifications. On the one hand, the foldable is rumored to measure 123 x 148 mm, which should correspond to a diagonal of 7.57 inches.
On the other side, 91mobiles states that the internal screen has a resolution of 1,840 x 2,208 pixels. If that’s the case, then the display would have a pixel density of 379 PPI and a 6:5 aspect ratio. Reportedly, the same screen will have a peak brightness of 1200 nits, with an average maximum of 800 nits. In contrast, 9to5Google the external display is believed to have a resolution of 2,100 x 1,080 pixels, indicating a wider but shorter footprint than the Galaxy Z Fold4. Not surprisingly, the Pixel Fold is rumored to have a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor, which reflects Galaxy Z Fold4. The Pixel Fold is currently assumed to rely on Tensor G2the same chipset that runs it Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and next year Pixel Tablet.
