A list of your recent text messages will appear with phone or contact numbers, the number of messages and the days remaining until they are permanently deleted. This will include both entire messages and individual texts that have been deleted. However, you’ll only be able to see (and recover) deleted messages if they’ve been deleted within the last 30 days, so you need to act relatively quickly.

Also, you can’t see the messages themselves, so you’ll have to recover them by recognizing the contact’s name or phone number. When you recover, you will be able to read texts.

Then recover your deleted text messages

If you want to recover a text message, touch the thread or message so that it is selected, press Get well in the lower right corner, then tap Recover the message in the pop-up window that appears. You can also recover all your deleted text messages at once – don’t select any message and then just tap Recover everything.
