This DJ needs to drop the mic.
“Vanderpump Rules” star James Kennedy was called out at the BravoCon event after a Page Six spy overheard him saying there were there are no “pretty” girls on “Southern Charm.”
The reality star played coy when he seemingly admitted to the diss – but went on to dig himself into the hole by saying he was actually considering another cast member.
“First of all, I made a mistake in the shows, because obviously there are a lot of beautiful girls [“Southern Charm”]” Kennedy, 30, told a booing crowd during a pre-taped episode of “Watch What Happens Live: Charming House Rules” at New York’s Javits Center on Saturday night.
“WWHL” host Andy Cohen then called on the DJ to clarify which show he was actually referring to, but Kennedy waved his finger and kept his lips sealed.
“And I’m taking it back,” Kennedy told the crowd.
Cohen, 54, did not let the Briton go and pushed the subject further, but Kennedy simply replied: “I don’t remember! I don’t remember!”
The Bravo producer then turned his attention to “Southern Charm” star Venita Aspen, who expressed dismay at the comments.
“I am very disappointed. I’m very disappointed,” stressed Aspen, 29, as Kennedy buried his face in his hands.
Shep Rose, the male “Southern Charm” cast member whose appearance was also criticized by Kennedy, defended himself and his co-stars, telling the DJ he “looks 80.”
Page Six Spy caught Kennedy criticizing the performances of her fellow Bravolebrities at the Gansevoort Meatpacking Hotel in New York on Friday night.
“I never thought she was a pretty girl on ‘Southern Charm,'” he was heard saying girlfriend Ally Lewber and friends.
The controversial “VPR” cast member also added that he “didn’t understand” why “everyone thinks Shep is cute.”
One of Kennedy’s friends suggested it was because Rose, 42, was “old”.
Hundreds of Bravo stars are currently in the Big Apple for BravoCon 2022, a sold out, three-day event featuring the cast and crew of the network’s most popular series.
