Sony announced DualSense Edgenew premium class wireless controller.
First discovered in Opening Night LiveThe DualSense Edge is a premium controller that looks like Sony’s answer to Xbox’s Elite range of controllers.
New PS Blog entry has a detailed view of the highly customizable controller, allowing you to set custom control mappings and even disable certain buttons.
Visually, the controller is largely aligned with the normal DualSense, but with a few extra elements that bring it up to premium standards. As with the Xbox controller, you can expect replaceable thumb caps and adjustable dead zones.
While the controller is shown in shadow in the trailer, we can see the paddle switches/background buttons on the back (which could be in a dome or tiered configuration), as well as some sort of new surface underneath the analog sticks.
A switch on the rear shoulder is shown with three settings, presumably adjusting the trigger distance, a new feature for the controller.
