First find your deleted text messages
All your deleted text messages can be found in the Messages app. To find your messages in the trash, open Messages and tap filters option at the top left of your text topics. Here you can filter your text messages by known senders, unread messages, and more. However, the choice we want is Recently Deleted.

A list of recent text messages will appear, showing phone numbers or contacts, the number of messages and the days left until final deletion. This will include both entire threads and individual texts that have been deleted. However, you will only be able to see (and recover) deleted messages if they were deleted in the last 30 days, so act relatively quickly.
Also, you can’t see the actual messages themselves so you will have to get them back by recognizing the contact name or phone number. Once recovered, you will then be able to read the scripts.

If you want to restore a text message, tap the string or message so that it is selected, tap Recovery at the bottom right, then tap Message recovery in the popup that appears. You can also recover all deleted text messages at once – don’t select any message and just click restore all.
