The Redmi A1 Plus launches as another budget smartphone in Xiaomi’s arsenal
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A1 Plus, less than a month after the device was leaked online. As expected, the Redmi A1 Plus shares many features with the Redmi A1, which he himself announced only a month ago. In fact, the Redmi A1 Plus seems to offer one advantage over its sibling.
In particular, the Redmi A1 Plus has a rear fingerprint scanner, unlike this one Redmi A1. In contrast, both have a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset with up to 3 GB of RAM and expandable memory. Additionally, Xiaomi includes a 5,000mAh battery, a micro USB port that supports 10W charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Moreover, the Redmi A1 Plus features a 6.52-inch display that only displays 720p and 60Hz.
Likewise, the Redmi A1 Plus relies on the same camera sensors, topped by an 8MP primary sensor. The Redmi A1 Plus starts at INR 7,499 (~$91) with 2GB RAM and goes up to INR 8,499 (~$103) with 3GB RAM. For reference, while Xiaomi offers the device in Black, Light Blue and Light Green colors, it comes with just 32GB of built-in storage.
