These are the (many) devices that T-Mobile plans to update to Android 13… eventually

It’s been a little over two months since Google somewhat surprisingly launched its stable Rolling out Android 13 to all (eligible) Pixel devicesand it’s totally unsurprising that this latest version of the OS hasn’t spread to many other phones in the meantime.

Of the listed leading wireless service providers in the country, T-Mobile there is a neat little setting up a support website with a pretty long list of devices guaranteed to get official Android 13 updates… eventually. Although the list covers several different brands, it does not seem to be completely comprehensive, as there is no mention of Motorola and Nokia products, among others.
All ETAs are also missing, most likely because they are impossible to predict at this time Android 13 the “manufacturer development” phase of the often convoluted carrier update process. Still, there are definitely some interesting tidbits to glean from this list, first noticed by the folks at Android Police:
  • OnePlus 8
  • OnePlus 7T
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • OnePlus Nord N200
  • OnePlus 8T+
  • T-Mobile REVVL V+
  • Samsung Galaxy S21/S21+/S21 Ultra
  • OnePlus 9/9 Pro
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Samsung Galaxy A52 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy S20/S20+/S20 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20/Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3
  • Samsung Galaxy S22/S22+/S22 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S8/Galaxy Tab S8 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A51 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A71 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A32 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A13 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A23 5G
  • Samsung Galaxy A53 5G
Before you know it, yes, the order of these devices is completely and utterly random. And yes, there are quite a few phones missing (in addition to the entire Motorola portfolio) that we’re 100 percent sure will actually get Android 13 goodness both on T-Mobile and in other variants. For example, the one mentioned above OnePlus 10 Pro. And the OnePlus 10T.

Meanwhile, something tells us that the Galaxy S22 trio has already completed its Android 13 manufacturer development phase and moved on to T-Mobile testing in anticipation of the upcoming online release. Either that or we’re just days away from it.

It proves that T-Mobile cares about more than just owners of the latest, greatest, and most expensive Android phones and tablets on its network… although the REVVL 6 5G and REVVL 6 Pro 5G are two more (semi) important names missing from the “Un-carrier’s” a catalog of devices that will get stable Android 13 improvements and UI tweaks… one day.
