This mod allows you to order a real pizza from Oblivion

Have you ever played a game and wanted pizza? Of course you are. If you’re like me, you crave pizza literally all the time. Well, a new mod for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is here to help. It allows you to order real-world pizza delivery from Domino’s through in-game NPCs. Magic.

The mod is called Nickies’ Pizzablivion and it is available at Nexus Mods. Adds an in-game NPC named Pizza Nickies Black, who appears to wear armor made of melted cheese or pizza crust, and has a chat option to “Order a Pizza”. You will be asked if you want regular or to customize the order, and if you choose regular, the order will be shipped to your local Domino’s. “It should arrive in about 30 minutes if there’s a Dominos open near you,” the mod’s instructions say.

Like I said above, it’s magic. Unfortunately, there are a few caveats to consider if you want to do any of this yourself. For starters, you’ll need to live in the US, because it doesn’t work anywhere else. You’ll also need to install some other software, as instructed via the readme on the Nexus Mods page above, including the latest version of Python and the Network Pipe Control mod for Oblivion.

Nickies Black’s Pizza also can’t customize your order, despite its dialog suggesting it can, and your “usual” is hard-coded. That’s a 12-inch thin crust pizza, garlic bread, and a bottle of Fuze Lemon Tea, reportedly for a total of $28.23.

One last caveat is that you will need to enter your credit card information into the pizza.py file included with the mod in order for your items to actually be paid for. Is it safe? “Use this mod at your own risk,” the readme says, and yes, you do.

This is not the first time that it is possible to order a real pizza from the game. Back in 2005, EverQuest 2 added the /pizza command that allowed you to, for example, order Pizza Hut delivery. However, this is the first time I’ve seen it added via a mod rather than a promotional event. Well done, Nicky.
