TP-Link unveils three new Deco Mesh Wi-Fi devices, including a new Powerline unit

Leading networking brand TP-Link has announced three significant additions to its highly regarded Deco range of mesh wireless networks and wireless access points. The Deco Wi-Fi Ultimate Whole Home Solution includes a weatherproof access point, a powerline mesh system, and a unit that can be operated over an Ethernet network.

These three new deco products can provide a mesh network inside and out. It is ideal for use in buildings with thick stone walls or complex layouts that are difficult to cover. The new Deco units can be installed on roofs, walls and other inaccessible surfaces, promoting Wi-Fi coverage anywhere.

The first new model is the TP-Link Deco X50-PoE AX3000. It is a power over Ethernet, dual-band, mesh system and is available in a kit consisting of three units and uses the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard. Each unit has two built-in PoE/WAN/LAN auto-sensing ports, a 2.5 multi-gig PoE port, and wireless speeds of up to 3.0Gbps. Wi-Fi is split with 2,402Mbps on the 5GHz band and 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. A pack of three Deco PX50-PoE units can cover an area of up to 6,500 square feet and handle 150 devices.

The Deco X50-PoE can be installed anywhere in an Ethernet outlet. The sleek unit can be attached to the ceiling or mounted to walls for better Wi-Fi transmission, uninterrupted coverage and more robust Wi-Fi 6 performance. Thanks to PoE (Power over Ethernet), these units can be placed even where there are no electrical outlets and use the Ethernet connection as a data backhaul with their dual-band Wi-Fi.

The Deco X50-Outdoor AX3000 is a dual-band mesh access point that can extend Wi-Fi networks to garden or business areas, such as the yard or other open space. All Deco Wi-Fi units offer smart roaming with AI-driven mesh technology that enables users to seamlessly switch between different Deco units that all use the same network name. The system is intelligent and easy to set up, making it possible to extend a Wi-Fi network almost anywhere.

The Deco X50-Outdoor uses ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6 Outdoor, with speeds of up to 3.0Gbps wireless speed split between the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. Each unit can cover an area of up to 2,500 square feet and can handle 150 client devices.

The Deco X50 is certified waterproof and dustproof to withstand outdoor dust particles and heavy rain. Using PoE, outdoor installation is easy, allowing the unit to be mounted on a pole, wall or table.

Perhaps the most exciting unit of the three new Deco products is the PX50. The new Deco is the long-awaited successor to TP-Link’s classic Deco P9 and combines dual-band Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 and GHN Powerline 1500 Mbps. Powerlines send data over the electrical circuits of a home or office using wires like an Ethernet network. The Powerline is ideal for buildings with thick walls that may obstruct or restrict Wi-Fi signals.

The Deco PX50 offers Wi-Fi speeds of up to 3.0Gbps, divided into the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. A kit of three Deco PX50 units can wirelessly cover areas of up to 6,500 square feet and handle 150 devices. Using powerline backhaul, the Deco PX50 adds a third lane for data to travel, giving it the kind of performance you might get from a tri-band mesh router, establishing strong connections between individual Deco units. Is.

All three Deco units use the latest WPA3 encryption to send data over Wi-Fi, plus TP-Link’s HomeShield is built in for an extra layer of security. HomeShield can block inappropriate content and includes a full suite of parental controls to protect family members from unwanted content. In addition, TP-Link supports quality of service (QoS) and network security to keep the home network as safe and secure as possible.
