Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is coming to PS5 in Spring 2023

Publisher You are NOT America and developer Falcom will release a PlayStation 5 version action RPG Ys IX: Monster Nox in the spring of 2023, the companies announced. It will include all previously released cosmetic downloadable content.

Pre-orders for the limited edition are now available via NIS America online store for $89.99, which includes a copy of the game, the official soundtrack CD, the short novel The Lost Sword, an art card collection, a 200-piece puzzle, and a collector’s box.

Ys IX: Monster Nox first launched for PlayStation 4 on September 26, 2019 in Japan, followed by February 2, 2021 in North America and February 5, 2021 in Europe. The PC and Stadia versions launched worldwide on July 6, 2021, with the Switch in North America on the same date. The Switch version launched in Europe on July 9, 2021 and Japan on September 9, 2021.

Renowned adventurer Adol “Red” Christin and his companion Dogi arrive in Balduq, a city annexed by the Romanian Empire, only to have Adol imprisoned before their adventure can begin. While in prison, Adol meets a mysterious woman named Aprilis who turns him into a Monstrum—a being with supernatural gifts and the power to exorcise monsters.

Now, Adol must team up with his fellow Monsters to fend off terrible threats emanating from the shadowy dimension known as Grimwald Nox, unravel the mysteries of the Monster’s curse, and discover the truth behind the unrest in Balduk. Join Adol in this iteration of the Ys series coming to PlayStation 5.
