After an epic gamble, Stetson Bennett is trolled by Brett Thorson over a cell phone number incident

Brett Thorson provided one of the defining moments in Georgia’s win over Tennessee this weekend.

Follow her up by making a good joke on Twitter.

Thorson had a rare opportunity to bet during the first quarter of Saturday’s 27-13 win over Tennessee. The Australian had a boom in the kick, as the ball slammed into the Tennessee one-yard line.

The new student from Australia couldn’t be better.

“I told him he worked like a kid from Australia,” Kirby Smart said after the win. “I kept saying get out of the bounds. Get out of the border. It was a kick out of his hell. That was a huge swing in momentum.”

“He’s a winner. Guys know how to play the game,” Smart said of Bennett. HH understands what people do. He walked off the field once, and we got frustrated and said, “Okay, what’s the coverage?” He said what’s the coverage, a lot of people were saying it wasn’t, go back and look, it turns out he was right.

“He sees the game, he understands it. He is stubborn as hell sometimes, but he is a competitor.”

This season, Thorson has chased only 22 times. Georgia ranks second in the SEC for the fewest kicks, with Tennessee below 21.

While Thorson will be eager to see the field on Saturday for Georga, most Bulldog fans would rather see Bennett lead the Georgia offensive into the end zone. The Bulldogs travel to Mississippi on Saturday, with the game broadcasting on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET.
