The smart active noise cancellation here helps make louder sounds quieter for a more balanced sound, and Samsung has made solid progress in improving the overall ANC performance on its earbuds. You get extra wind in your ears if you wear them while walking on the street, and the sounds that have to be suppressed are a little louder than they are with AirPods.

Samsung’s Ambient Mode is also behind Apple’s Transparency Mode. Sounds are much more humid than they do on AirPods, and you can’t hear your surroundings clearly. AirPods Pro can also suppress loud sounds while using Transparency mode so everything stays at a constant volume, something Galaxy Buds can’t do.
