Apple releases AirTag tracker firmware update
After the release of New firmware for AirPods wireless headphonesApple is also releasing a firmware update for the AirTag Element Tracker on Thursday. Here’s what you need to know about this new release.
AirTag Firmware Update
Today’s new firmware version is version 2.0.24, featuring build 2A24e. Before today, the latest AirTag firmware was version 1.0.301 and premium version number 1A301. Unfortunately, it’s not certain at this point what changes with the update, as Apple has not yet shared update notes for the current firmware.
The previous AirTag was released on April 28th, According to Applehas set the unwanted tracking sound to allow people to locate an unknown AirTag more easily.
to me Check the firmware version In your AirTag, open the Find My app on your iPhone, then choose the Items tab in the bottom navigation. Then choose your AirTag from the list of items and click on the name of your AirTag. Doing so should reveal the serial number and firmware version of your AirTag.
Unfortunately, there is no way to force an AirTag update. Instead, just make sure your AirTag is within range of your iPhone, and it should update automatically after some time. If you notice anything different after updating the item tracker, let us know in the comments section.
