Elden ring datamine indicates potential DLC leaves room for 30 new bosses
Elden Ring may soon get a major DLC release, according to recent data in game update 1.07.
As shown in reddit (Opens in a new tab) (using info from Twitter user @ax digs (Opens in a new tab)), the most recent elden ring The update from early last month appears to be hiding hints of possible additional content in the future. According to the post, the datamins reveal things like new weapon classes, old map files associated with the dungeon, and possibly 30 new bosses.
More specifically, the post notes that the data worker found 30 key tags for “downloadable content purposes”. Before you start planning how to get rid of all those new bosses, it’s worth noting that we’re not likely to get exactly that amount. As explained in the Reddit post, there is a section in the game code where “boss flags” are declared, and there is now room for 30 flags, but most likely it’s about 10 to 15 new bosses, if Elden Ring DLC Actually on the way.
Other things revealed in update 1.07 are things like new hair, six new weapon classes (unnamed), and new AI targets. It was also revealed that potential DLC could include new old dungeon map files, new map files for the Colosseum, and map changes made in most of the divine constellations.
Finally, the data handler also detected 16 NPC entries in the files, each of which are labeled “Invisible Person” – making it look as if we’ll be getting brand new NPCs in the next update as well. You’d better take the post with a grain of salt so Bandai Namco/FromSoftware announces if we’ll actually be getting some Elden Ring downloadable content soon.
