Free Dead Cells update adds goodies based on Hotline Miami, Slay The Spire, and more

Weapons and outfits from six games are making their way into the game with today’s free Everone Is Here 2 update: Terraria, Hotline Miami, Shovel Knight, Slay The Spire, Risk Of Rain 2, and Katana Zero. There are also new lore rooms based on the locations of these games, where you will find stored weapons. You can see some of the costumes and weapons in action in the trailer below.

Perhaps the standout here is the Hotline Miami-style baseball bat weapon. Who wouldn’t want to wear a rooster mask and a Letterman jacket so they can snap on some sticky dead cell enemies with one of them? I love Slay The Spire’s variety-inspired sound, too. It contains four cards with the effect of draw, passive, and discard, with the action permanently idle. Eject a card by pressing the power button and it will draw the next card, triggering its effects. You can read everything in the update over here.

The Everyone Is Here 2 update is only available on PC at this time. As you can tell from the number 2 at the end of the update’s name, this isn’t the first time Dead Cells has done a standalone crossover like this. Last year’s update “Everyone is here” Imogen liked Thanks to the Hollow Knight’s own goodies, but that too has been crammed into weapons, skins, and skills based on Blasphemous, Hyper Light Drifter, Guacamelee, Skul: The Hero Slayer, and Curse Of The Dead Gods. Not very shabby.
