Google will bring package delivery tracking directly inside Gmail
Search engine giant Google has announced a new feature that will allow users to track the delivery status of their products within the Gmail app.
“With the holiday season fast approaching, it won’t be long before your inbox is filled with more order and shipment confirmations, tracking numbers, and even the occasional delay notice. So this year, Gmail is introducing new features to help you save time and stay on top of all your deliveries,” said Ilya Brown, VP, Product, Gmail.
Users when they order a product and receive the confirmation note in Gmail. The latter offers an option – Track your packages in Gmail – and you can allow or deny it.

If you allow it, Gmail will then automatically look up order statuses using your tracking numbers and display them in your inbox. And, users can opt out at any time through Gmail settings.

The new feature is expected to arrive in an update to Gmail shortly before the Christmas holidays.
In a similar development, Google has finally found a permanent place for Google Lens on its search page.
Rajan Patel, Google’s VP of Engineering (Search Experience, Image Search and Lens) took to Twitter to announce that Google Lens will be readily available for access within the search tab.
Google’s homepage doesn’t change often, but today it did. We’re always working to expand the types of questions you can ask and improve the way we answer them. Now you can make visual queries easily from your desktop. pic.twitter.com/p9ldYvXnTK

Previously, this arrangement was only seen in the Google and Chrome apps for phones. Now, it will be available on the Google.com website for PC.
With this, users can directly tap the camera icon to enable the device’s camera or upload photos for visual image search.
