Harvestella Day 1 update makes various changes from the demo
Ahead of Harvestella’s full release on November 4, Square Enix has released a list of mods it’ll push with a day one update.
Details of the update were shared along with more information about the in-game content in an official blog post.
Square Enix said that day one the changes were made based on feedback from the demo available on the Nintendo Switch.
On the first day the update will make the following changes:
- Longer days
- Reduce waiting time for job changes
- Increased attack speed of magicians
- Warning effect when a character is low on HP
- Partially reduce loading time
- Modify the user interface when saving
- Various bug fixes
Another thing Square Enix has changed is my favorite just from the way they described it in the blog post. Fishing is more fun. What they mean is that they have reduced the amount of time you have to catch the fish once you hook it up making it more challenging and rewarding, but I appreciate the simplicity and honesty.
The blog post also reveals more information about the game’s features. A mysterious dungeon with powerful enemies will only appear during Quietus, Season 5 that causes all sorts of problems for people and their crops.

A new function called Lunamancer has been revealed. The function is capable of gravitational attacks and is more effective at “massive magic attacks and weakening of enemies”.

In addition to cooking, you can also serve meals to various NPCs in small side quests for rewards.

Finally, a creature called Chief Conellu can be found in his lair. There are many Conellu dolls that can be found in-game and handed over to the Chief to get more rewards.
