I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about a new program, the Panda Project, and invite you to an important event on Monday, November 14, 2022. PANDA is an acronym for Alzheimer’s n’ Dementia Support Provided. The Panda Project was commissioned by the Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging (M4A) in Shelby County in 2019 and was a huge success. The Central Alabama Aging Consortium saw the need in our service area and we were fortunate to be awarded the same grant in 2021, serving people in Autoga, Elmore and Montgomery counties.

Panda’s goal is to enable individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, including people living alone, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and people with dementia, and their caregivers to have significant events such as falls, hospitalizations, and emergency room visits. continue to help reduce and overall health costs. Its purpose is to allow people to stay in their homes.

We provide direct support to caregivers with dementia (PWD), people with intellectual disabilities (IDD), and Autoga, Elmore, and Montgomery Counties.
