Samsung rolls out One UI 5 stable update for A33 and A73

Global tech giant Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 5 update for its ‘A’ series devices.

Recently, the company released stable updates for this year’s mid-range Galaxy A73 and A33 smartphones and for its older flagship models.

The stable One UI 5 interface is based on the latest Android 13. A wider release of the upgrade is expected in a few weeks. The AOT update for both devices is currently rolling out only in some regions.

In Malaysia, the One UI 5 stable upgrade of the Galaxy A73 5G is currently accessible with firmware version A736BXXU2BVK2.

However, the November 2022 security update is not included in the upgrade.

According to a report by GizmoChina, the next update will include all the new features that Google has added to the latest version of Android, apart from some additions that are limited to Samsung devices only.

However, the new software does not include the November 2022 security patch, it only includes the October 2022 security patch. It has a download size of around 2 GB.

So far, only Europe and Malaysia have received this update. However, the rest of the regions are also expected to receive the One UI 5 update in November for the A73 and A33.

Users can check for the latest AOT update in the ‘software update’ section of the settings.

One UI 5 has a ton of new features. Additionally, it supports bundled widgets, includes built-in OCR for extracting text from photos, Bixby Text Call, One UI Modes, and a maintenance mode to hide data from service center workers while the device is being repaired.
