How to set up the built-in two-factor authentication feature in iOS

To get started, run Settings app on your iPhone and go to passwords. Use Face or Touch ID to access your passwords, then tap on any account you want to set up 2FA for.

NB: This two-factor authentication method does not work for every website or app.

Next, tap Set up a verification code A menu will appear with two options:

• Scan QR Code

These are your two options for setting up 2FA, which you can find on the website of any account you’re trying to secure. To continue, go to the website, use your credentials to log in and then go to the website account settings. There is not one place where you will find the setup key or QR code for two-factor authentication, but in general you should find them in “Passwords” or “Two-Factor Authentication”.

In this example, we’ll use the setup key found in the account settings on the Mega site. If you see the setting key, simply copy it to your clipboard, then go back to the Settings app on your iPhone and choose Enter the setting key Selection. Next, paste the setting key and press yes. Once you do that, a verification code will appear.

Return to the website where you obtained the setup key and enter the verification code to enable two-factor authentication (2FA). However, you have to be quick to enter the setting key because it will change every 30 seconds.
