Zhaoxin introduces KH-40000 Series Server CPU and KX-6000G APUs with Enhanced DX12 Graphics

Zhaoxin offers two series of CPUs

The KH-4000 series will offer up to 32 cores.

Today, the Chinese company announces the KH-40000 series of server CPUs and the KX-6000G series of embedded systems. The first series will be available in 12, 16 and 32 base configurations.

Chaoxin KH-40000

The KH-4000 series is based on Yongfeng architecture with x86 and AVX/AVX2 instruction support. This series of processors is designed for cloud computing, big data analytics, video processor, database and high performance storage solutions. The proliferation of the KH-4000 series can also be seen in all-in-one computers.

The company will offer 12, 16 and 32 core configurations with a boost clock of up to 2.2 GHz. These CPUs do not support hyper-threading. Up to 2TB of DDR4 EEC memory is supported, and the company promises 4TB for dual-socket systems. The KH-40000 series is strong in PCIe lane support, and up to 128 will be available, but only from the 3.0 standard and only in the 32-core segment.

Zaoxin KX-6000G

The company also offers the KX-6000G series of quad-core APUs with integrated graphics. The APU series will be based on the same 16nm Lujiazui architecture as the KX-6000 models. The main improvement is the new graphics based on the C-1080 GPU.

The company promises support for DirectX12, OpenCL 1.2, and OpenGL 4.6 Graphics API. The integrated GPU should render up to 4K video through hardware-accelerated decoding.

Zhaoxin claims that the KX-6000G series will deliver up to 4 times higher graphics performance than the previous one and up to 60% better power efficiency. Moreover, the thickness of the package was reduced by 26% and the idle power consumption was improved by 50%. The Zhaoxin KX-6000G series is designed for small form factor systems, including fanless computers, industrial-grade tablets and power communication systems.
