Apple releases a firmware update for AirTags

Apple today released a new firmware update designed for AirTag item trackers, with the firmware featuring an updated build number 2A36, higher than the 2A24e firmware Apple launched. Release in November.

Apple does not provide release notes for AirTag updates, so we don’t know what’s new in this update.

An AirTag can’t be forced to update, because it’s something that’s done over the air with a connection Iphone.
