Moss Point football player Jamarious Brown signs with the Ole Miss Rebels

Less than two weeks ago, NBA superstar Devin Booker returned home to Moss Point to retire his No. 2 Tiger jersey to the rafters.

Today, the next generation of great talent coming out of River City, Jamarious Brown uses the same gym for National Signing Day.

This morning, the Browns paid Ole Miss honors, making him only the second Moss Point player to sign with the Rebels in as many years following in the footsteps of wide receiver Larry Simmons.

The one they call ‘JB’, another four-star recruit, plays both sides of the ball as a senior, but heads to Oxford as a line d.

On offense, the Browns accounted for nearly 500 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns. On defense, he led the team with five sacks and three forced fumbles.

Brown was also a Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Games, ready to make another appearance at Oxford. “I’m just grateful and ready to get started. They just said I’m a dog. They’re like family, man. Wake up there. They treat you like home. I just listened to my trainer and my trainer guided me there and got me where I need to be. Gotta get back there.” And dress up like I did in high school. Hottie Toddy!”

Over the course of his four-year career, Brown recorded 293 total tackles, 45 of them for loss, 13 forced fumbles, 7 fumble recoveries, and 16 sacks.
