Recharge your iPhone with these two handy power banks from iWalk

If your iPhone is getting a little older, you might have noticed that its battery is not lasting as long as it used to be. This is completely normal for a lithium-ion battery. Over time, the efficiency of the battery decreases very slightly each time the battery is recharged.

I’ve owned the iPhone SE 2020 for a little over a year now and now its battery is only at 89%. My phone is running out of full charge soon. I’ve tried turning off all the power-hungry functions, but now I need to have some backup power if I leave the house for a full day.

You can see how healthy your iPhone battery is by clicking on the Battery section in your iPhone’s Settings. Go to Battery Health & Charging option, and there you will see the maximum capacity of the battery.

If the battery is marked, you can replace it at an Apple Store. Alternatively, you can buy yourself a power bank. These gadgets are ideal for charging your phone’s battery when you’re away from a power outlet. However, the traditional power brick with cable connection can be inconvenient. To counter this, iWalk has created two iPhone power banks that can be used more easily while on the go.

iWalk LinkPod Pro is a compact charger with a Lightning connector that attaches to the bottom of your iPhone and is perfect for keeping your phone’s battery charged when you’re on the go. With a capacity of 4800mAh, the LinkPod Pro has enough charge to replenish your iPhone at least once.

LinkPod Pro weighs only 90 grams, and is small enough to slip into any bag or pocket. A LinkPod Pro feature that I like is the LED display that shows how much power charge is left as a percentage. It’s easy to check if the LinkPod Pro needs to be recharged before you leave the house for a day out.

If you want more from a power bank, iWalk’s PowerGrip Mag is a power bank with a built-in N50 magnet that can grip the back of a MagSafe-compatible iPhone, like a simple mine. The PowerGrip Mag also features a finger loop that makes it easy to hold the iPhone while the PowerGrip is attached via the MagSafe connection.

With its 6000mAh battery capacity, iWalk PowerGrip Mag can provide more than a charge for many iPhone devices. MagSafe is standard on all iPhone models from iPhone 12 and up. If you have a previous iPhone, the iWalk PowerGrip Mag has a sticky metal circular plate that can be stuck to the back of the iPhone so that the PowerGrip can be attached for wireless charging.

Like the LinkPod Pro, the PowerGrip also features a small window with an OLED display that shows the percentage of battery charge so you can check when you need to fill it up with more juice.

Verdict: These two easy-to-buy power banks from iWalk make a convenient alternative to regular power banks that use a cable connector. Both hold at least one full charge, so they’re perfect for a transatlantic trip or a long train ride if there are no power connectors. The iWalk LinkPod Pro is small enough to keep in a bag, while the PowerGrip easily clips to the back of the MagSafe iPhone to ensure it stays on. Even if they are used in an emergency, these two banks are on hand to stay prepared when your iPhone runs low. Both power banks are available in different colors to suit all tastes.

Pricing and availability: iWalk LinkPod Pro is now available from www.iWalk.com Amazon It costs $25.99 / £31.99. The iWalk PowerGrip is also available from www.iWalk.com Amazon It costs $37.99 / £27.99.
