Ukraine provides assistance to partners in increasing the pace of arms production
Ukraine suggests that international partners should involve Ukrainian defense enterprises in solving the urgent problems of arms manufacturers in the context of increasing production rates.
Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba made a related statement at an online briefing on Tuesday, a Ukrainform correspondent reported.
The minister mentioned that increasing the pace of arms production was one of the main topics of his talks at the NATO ministerial meeting in Bucharest. He noted that after the start of the war in Ukraine, the world’s arms manufacturers faced disruption of supply chains, labor shortages and problems with spare parts.
“Ukraine is working on equipping and rearming the armed forces, and we suggest that international partners involve Ukrainian arms manufacturers in solving immediate production problems and in the formation of long-term joint plans for the Ukrainian military The capabilities of the industry should be taken into account.” Kuleba believes that the active rearmament of the armed forces and the revival of the national military industry correspond to the long-term interests not only of Ukraine but of the entire Euro-Atlantic region.
