Alienware Aurora R15 Desktop – Powered by 13th Gen Intel CPUs and NVIDIA RTX 40 GPUs

Alienware has improved upon the popular Aurora series of desktop computers, this time offering an improved thermal design via hexagonal side vents for better airflow and overall system performance. Adding to the hexagonal ventilation, the Aurora R15 includes a 240mm heat exchanger that’s twice the size of previous generations. The company provides a clear additional panel for users, which is still optional.

Internally, the Aurora R15 uses Intel 13th Gen Core K-series CPUs and five 120mm case fans, saving more than 50% of system power, as well as improving performance and keeping the processor cool at 5°C at most (on average) . Airflow is increased by 19%, and the system is 66% quieter than previous Alienware models. The GPU partition, which is compatible with modern NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards, also reduces noise by about ten percent, depending on the running tasks.

Designed exclusively by Alienware, the motherboard aligns the power connections along the edges to help direct airflow away from core components. The company also attempted to eliminate the need for a “sub panel” on the front for input and output and to help reduce unnecessary wiring and more direct feeding into the system. PCIe x 16 connectivity is now in the first slot to access graphics cards that are three times the width of standard GPUs. The new Aurora R15 uses a certified 80 Plus Platinum PSU, available in 750W and 1350W configurations. Memory is swapped with dual UDIMM slots to support 4800MB/s DDR5 memory.

The Aurora R15 includes a Killer E3100G Gigabit Ethernet with Wi-Fi 6/6E capability. RGB lighting is located in eight zones to help with indoor and outdoor lighting.
