Beau Rivage Resort & Casino donates to local non-profit organizations

Beau Rivage employees do their best to give back to the community and support local charities.

Jazell Ladner of News 25 has more about how much of an impact their generosity has made.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is one of the 10 nonprofit agencies that received a grant from the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino MGM grant program during the Casino’s Fall Staff Festival.

Grant-receiving agencies focus on homelessness, health and wellness, education and food security.

Make-A-Wish board member Paul Arguelles was surprised and delighted to see a $15,000 check he said would be used for wish-granting in the six southern Mississippi counties. There are children with life-threatening illnesses who need some joy. We need to add a little joy to their lives and without that donation, we wouldn’t be able to do it.”

Beau Rivage has given over $89,000 to local charities all thanks to its employees. Elizabeth Naff, Communications Partner at Beau Rivage said, “MGM’s Resort Foundation is based strictly on employee donations and property is what we call a Social Impact and Sustainability Group where we plan events throughout the year to help raise money that can go towards our foundation in and that can give money to the Foundation local non-profit.

As a way of showing appreciation for the casino staff, the festival included food, music, and fun activities that included a raffle, a cake walk, a pie smash, and a pumpkin decorating contest. “We are not just an employee here. We are a family. The more appreciation events we do and the more community-led events they only highlight the familial orientation or orientation that a lover is known for.”
