Evil Dead: The Game and Dark Deity is next week’s free Epic Store games
Another Thursday means another glimpse into the next batch of weekly freebies for the Epic Games Store, as both Evil Dead: The Game and the tactical turn-based RPG Dark Deity have been confirmed to be free from Thursday, November 17.
Evil Dead: The Game, released as an Epic exclusive in May, is developer Saber Interactive in the asymmetric multiplayer horror genre. You see four human survivors (picking from a cast of familiar Evil Dead characters, armed with everything from chainsaws to arm sticks) as they roam a frightening forest in search of artifacts, while a fifth player hunts down as one of four powerful demons – a warlord, a puppeteer or Necromancers or Plague Plagues, all of them are able to command their own undead armies.
Which good funIt effectively marries the hilarious cartoon horror of the beloved Sam Raimi series into a highly entertaining multiplayer game.
As for a second free Epic Store game next week, that’s Dark Deity – a tactical RPG from Sword & Ax that takes its toll on the likes of Fire Emblem. How good it is, I don’t know, but it promises the likes of turn-based battles, character relationships to manage, and more.
Above all, there are two other freebies you might want to get, both very excellent and both available now: Monument Valley Ustwo’s developer Jamil Alba – Wildlife Adventure d Mimimi Games’s Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, which offers a fantastic heavy stealth trick about the Edo period in Japan.
Both are free to add to the Epic Games Store library right now, and will continue to be available until next Thursday, November 17 – when Evil Dead: The Game and Dark Deity will take their place as the next set of freebies.
