Having said that, the grinding will be a little different this time, as Activision has decided to revamp the way the Battle Pass works for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, so let’s get into the details.
How to level up the Battle Pass in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2
In Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 1, players will advance through the Battle Pass “with more options and more agency than ever before.”
Activision has eliminated the “linear flow of layers” for a new “multi-sector map”. Now, players will look at the map and use the skips gained from the Battle Pass Token Tier to unlock items across the map, which will be tailored to the season of the game.
The Battle Pass map will contain ‘at least 20 sectors with 5 categories in each sectorAdding up to 100 items. This new system allows players to pick and choose the items they want at any given moment, rather than unlocking a specific item in a particular layer in the old system.
Players will be able to control how they want to spend their token Battle Pass tier pass-throughs, and decide if they want a new Operator or one of the new weapons.
Players will need to decide which sector is most attractive to them, choose it, and then start unlocking items with tokens.
