Give hope this holiday season with Westfield Youth Assistance
For the fifth year, the Westfield Youth Assistance Program (WYAP) will participate in Giving Tuesday. This year a loyal donor, Jorge Christo, will match every donation, dollar for dollar, up to $12,500.
Giving Tuesday is a worldwide charitable day that occurs each year on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday are what are set aside for people to change their communities.
WYAP will use dollars raised from Giving Tuesday to tutor students who need additional educational support, provide financial support for winter and summer camp participation, support for mentorship programs, and mentor youth and skill development. Like connecting to important community support resources.
“Every dollar received goes towards transforming the lives of young people in need. Being able to match those dollars with Jorge Christo’s generous gift for our annual Giving Tuesday campaign brings us one step closer to giving young people in Westfield every benefit they need to succeed,” WYAP Board Chairman Steve Latour said. “Giving this campaign an opportunity for Westfield and Hamilton County neighbors to come together. What we can continue to achieve together is truly remarkable. I hope we can count on your support.”

WYAP was formed in 2009 as an early intervention advocate for youth aged 3 to 17 facing challenging life situations. Services are voluntary, confidential, and provided at no cost to the family and include mentoring, tuition, food, clothing, financial aid, camping, and entertainment opportunities, just to name a few.
